Becoming a Leader of No Reputation

$0.00

Where did you learn the most important lessons about leadership?

I am quite sure your answers will have more to do with life in the trenches than what you gleaned from books, classes and seminars. We seem to be built to learn from doing, from our mistakes and victories, from our good decisions and regrettable choices. Life is a wonderful teacher, if we will pay attention and move forward having been changed by what we have learned.

In 2006 I was asked to reflect on my time as president at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and what I learned about leadership. The exercise threw me back into the kind of reflection that demanded honesty, vulnerability and acknowledgement of what God was up to in those five wonderful and challenging years.

The result was the creation of this booklet.
